Setting up your Google App email in Outlook 2010

With DzineClub hosting plans, most of the times we set you up with a Google App account. This allows you to access emails via a Gmail interface and also set up your email on Outlook, Entourage, Apple Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird etc.

To set up your Google App email account on Outlook 2007, please use the following steps:

Open Outlook 2010
If you don’t already have an email associated, it will ask you to set it up, Click Yes.

If you already have one email associated in Outlook (old email) click on File and on the screen click on Add Account

Enter your details and click on “Manually configure server settings or additional server types”

Click Next image

Select Internet E-mail

Click Next image

Enter all of your details

Please note that your username is your email address.

Incoming mail server is : imap.gmail.com
Outgoing mail server is: smtp.gmail.com

Click on More Settings image

Select Outgoing Server tab and tick (My outgoing server requires authentication)

Click on Advanced Tab

Server Port numbers:

Select “SSL” under “Use the following type of encrypted connection”: SSL

Insert Incoming server (IMAP) as 993

Select “TSL” under “Use the following type of encrypted connection”: TLS

Insert Outgoing server (SMTP) as 587

Click image

Click on Next to complete  image

 

Outlook will test the account to make sure its working.

Press Close on the box when you get both the tick marks.

Click on Finish to complete

Forward your Google App email address

Sign in to your Google App email account

 

Click on Settings on the top right hand side

Click on Forward and POP/IMAP

Click on Add a forwarding address

After adding a forwarding address you will have to confirm the new email

After confirmation you can then use this email address to send all your email or filter your email and forward selected emails

Setting up our email (google app email) in your iPhone and iPhone 3GS

  • On the main screen Click on settings images
  • Click on Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  • Under Accounts, Click on Add Accounts
  • Select Gmail
  • Enter your details:

    Name:
    Your Name
    Address: Your full email address (including your domain)
    Password: Your email password
    Description: will automatically fill with your email address.
  • Click on Save. This will verify your email address.
  • If all of your details are correct. It will then set up your email address and will come on the list.
  • You can now go back to the home screen and check your emails.

Setting up your Google App (IMAP) email with Entourage Mac

With DzineClub hosting plans, most of the times we set you up with a Google App account. This allows you to access emails via a Gmail interface and also set up your email on Outlook, Entourage, Apple Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird etc

To set up your Account please use the following steps

Go to Tools > Accounts

Click New Mail

Click “Configure Account Manually” down the bottom

Select IMAP from the Account Type and Click OK

Account Setings

  • Account Name > your email address
  • Personal Information
    Name > Your Name
    Email Address > your email address
  • Receiving Mail
    Account ID> your email address
    IMAP Server> imap.gmail.com
    Password > Your password
    Click on CLick here for advanced receiving options and select “This IMAP service requires a secure connection (SSL) > Close this window
  • Sending Mail
    SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com
    Click on Click here for advanced sending options buttons and select
    SMTP service requires a secure connection(SSL)
    Override default SMTP port and enter 587
    SMTP Server requires authentication (Use same settings as receiving mail server)
    Close this small window
    Click OK on the main window.
    You will be prompted to log into your email account. Enter your account password (if not there already), save password and click on OK.

This should set up your DzineClub Hosting email account into your Entourage System. We will put up more docs going forward on how to set up your email with Thunderbird, Outlook, iphone etc.
